TO ALL VOLLEYBALL COACHES IN JOPLIN AREA:
Ozark Juniors Volleyball Academy (www.ozarkjuniors.com) in conjunction with the Volleyball Staff at Missouri Southern University, led by Head Coach Chris Willis and his Assistant Coach, Nicole Shoger, will be offering a comprehensive volleyball program for youth and high school volleyball players, based out of the Joplin area, called Ozark NORTH (www.ozarkjuniors.com/view.php/id/17) They will be offering an “OZARK Volleyball School” (weekly classes open to any players wishing to advance their skills, no club commitment required) beginning in January at MSSU in addition to the usual Travel Team Club Programs. Ozark NORTH is a satellite program of Ozark Volleyball Academy based in Springdale, Arkansas. See www.ozarkjuniors.com to read about the Ozark program.
Ozark features playing locations for teams in Joplin and McDonald County. In McDonald County, high school players from Seneca, Neosho, Joplin, and East Newton High Schools have participated. Involvement in an off-season, competitive volleyball team can begin as soon as the completion of the MSHSAA season, and as late as the end of the basketball season. Our program is growing and offering opportunities for players to improve their skills and court abilities after the high school season ends. Ozark maintains a “no cut” policy and can offer any athlete a spot in one of our many diverse programs. Players may play highly dedicated competitive volleyball OR just practice occasionally if they wish. Players of lesser financial means will not be turned away just because of money.
Several OPEN HOUSES are being conducted at home matches of the University of Arkansas Lady Razorbacks volleyball AS WELL as a local OPEN HOUSE at Missouri Southern University on Saturday September 24th at 3pm immediately following the match vs. Central Missouri State. Not only is this an ideal opportunity for young players to see the skill level at a Division 1 & 2 school, but they may view the skills demonstrated by players from the Ozark Juniors program (Ozark has alumni playing for both Arkansas and MSSU). Please mark these dates on your calendar, and encourage your whole team to come out and watch Missouri Southern play or go down the see the Ladybacks compete, and receive information about Ozark Volleyball Academy.
