Ozark Challenge Tournament, January 2021

COVID-19 IMPORTANT INFORMATION

TEAMS WILL BE ALLOWED A MAXIMUM NUMBER OF SPECTATORS BASED ON NUMBER OF PEOPLE ON ROSTER.  THIS NUMBER WILL BE DETERMINED AS 2 SPECTATORS PER ROSTERED PLAYER PLUS 5 ADDITIONAL TICKETS, UP TO A MAXIMUM NUMBER OF 30 PER TEAM.

1.  Only 2 coaches per team will get free admission.  Team reps and chaperones will not be given free admission to the tournament and will count toward maximum allowable number.
2.  Coaches will pick up tickets for their teams at team check in and distribute those.  You will NOT be able to obtain entry to the tournament without a ticket.  You will present your ticket at the admission table and pay your entry fee at that time.
3. Bring your own chair.  NO spectator seating will be provided.
4. Masks are required for all spectators at all times, unless you are eating or drinking.
5. There will be 10 minutes allowed between matches.  It is necessary for spectators leaving the court to promptly clear the court area (including chairs) at the conclusion of the match and for spectators for the next match to wait until the scheduled start time to come to the court.  Matches will not start earlier than the scheduled start time.
6.  Coaches and teams should clear the bench areas promptly at the conclusion of each match to allow the next teams to take the court.
7.  Please follow posted traffic flow patterns to allow for the least amount of cross traffic as possible.
8.  Teams and their spectators will be treated as a "family" group.  Please make sure you stay on the side of the court your team is playing on while watching and sit together during off matches as much as possible.

IT IS EACH INDIVIDUAL'S RESPONSIBILITY TO FOLLOW THE GUIDELINES ESTABLISHED TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE'S HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELL BEING IS PROTECTED AND TO ENSURE THAT KIDS ARE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE TO PLAY THIS SEASON.  PLEASE BE AWARE OF DISTANCING, WEAR YOUR MASK AND DO YOUR PART.

Ozark Juniors is excited to announce that we have partnered with CSTT for the 2020-2021 season.  Team hotels for the Ozark Challenge can be booked through CSTT (see below).  Utilizing their online system makes booking your rooms easier than ever before, while guaranteeing the lowest possible rates for your team.

INFORMATION

Coaches Meeting:
There will be no coaches meeting. Coaches are responsible for reading and understanding the rules and regulations. Please be aware that changes to the schedule may occur a day prior to the event. It is the coaches responsibility to check and make sure that they know the most updated schedule.

Check-In:
AM Wave:  Friday from 6-8 pm at Titan Sports Complex only
PM Wave:  Friday from 6-8 pm or Saturday from 12-2pm
**Please check in on Friday if at all possible.  Friday check in will ONLY be at Titan Sports Complex, regardless of location you are playing.  All teams in the 11's division should check in on Friday at Titan.
Team check-in will be located by the admissions table. Please bring your final rosters unless you have submitted it prior to the event.   You will be required to sign your roster at check in to verify accuracy.  You should have a copy of your roster with you.  It will be checked court side.  Changes to rosters after the start of the first set will not be allowed.

ARRIVAL TIMES
7:00 am for 7:30 am matches
2:30 pm for 3:00 pm matches
30 minutes before scheduled bracket matches on Sunday

 - Admission Fees:

-Doors will open at 7:00 a.m.
- No outside food or drinks allowed at Titan Facility. Concessions available. 
- No coolers allowed
- Outside chairs are permitted. There will be NO seating provided for spectators 

- Please bring your own pencils and pens for the score table and take them back with you at the completion of the match.  

- Strat time for matches: You will need one person from the team to stay court side in order to let the team know it is time for your match. WARM-UP FOR MATCHES WILL NOT START until 10 minutes after the completion of the previous match unless the court is way behind. What that means, is please do not text player and spectators to make their way to the court until after the last point of the previous match. That way we have plenty of time for teams to leave the courts and not congest the traffic. We have allowed 10 min extra per match to do so on Saturday, so we hope that will help the traffic flow. This will NOT be the case for Sunday. We will start warm-ups on Sunday immediately after the previous match is over.  

- If you have any teams that might be willing to be on standby in the case of teams dropping out, please let me know as soon as possible, and I will put them on the wait list. We have already had several teams drop out since Monday.  


INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY
The event will take place regardless of the weather.  NO cancellations will take place.  Please plan accordingly.

Format:
(Depending upon number of entries/age divisions)
2 Day Event
- Pool play on Saturday (3 Matches guaranteed or 6 sets total)
- Playoffs on Sunday (2 Matches guaranteed)
1 Day Event
- Pool play and playoffs are in one day ( 4 Matches guaranteed or 8 sets total)
- 5 Team Pools 2 Sets to 25 starting at 4-4 NO CAP
- 4 Team Pools Best 2 out of 3 sets to 25 - NO CAP, sets 1 and 2 starting at 4-4, 3rd set to 15 - NO CAP
- 3 Team Pools 2 out of 3 sets to 25 - NO CAP, 3rd set to 15 - NO CAP with a cross over match. 
- Morning Pools begin at 7:30 am
- Afternoon Pools begin at 3 pm
- Warm-up: 2 (shared) - 4 - 4 minutes each team including serving.

Officiating:
- 1st Officials provided for ALL AGE GROUPS
- Teams are required to have an officiating crew consisting of 2 line judges, 1 scorekeeper, and 1 down official. There will be NO libero tracker duties at this tournament. 
- Be aware that on Sunday WINNERS MAY HAVE TO OFFICIATE. During Sunday pool play, losers of each match ref the next match on their court unless no match is scheduleD at that time.
Officiating Penalties: Failure to provide officiating crew for your assignment could results in the forfeit of the 1st set of your next match. A coach must be present at the court site during officiating assignments. For every minute the officiating crew is late or incomplete, one point will be given to their opponent (up to 25-0 forfeit). The clock starts at match time.

Protests:
The captain or coach must immediately submit any protest. Only application of the rules can be filed under protest. The official will report this action to the Site Manager. A call will be made to the Protest Committee for a prompt ruling

Awards:
1st and 2nd place individual awards in every division
