Social Distance:

In order to maintain social distancing, spectator seating will be limited to every other row of bleachers.  Family groups can sit together, but there must be 6’ between family groups (who don’t live in the same house).  Seats are marked on the bleachers with a blue X.

Bench seating will also be kept to a minimum and will have 6’ between seats or 6’ marked on the floor to keep players distanced when not actively participating.

Minimum Occupancy:

In order to avoid too much traffic in the building or lingering after matches, there will be a limit of 2 spectators (this includes younger siblings) per player.  There will be 30 minutes between matches to allow for one group to exit the building before the next group enters.
1. Players should have all their gear on (shoes, knee pads, ankle braces) before entering the building.
2. Players and parents need to wait outside the building until the time indicated on the schedule.
3. Players should only bring necessary items in to the facility and should make sure to take anything they bring home: water bottle (public water fountains will not be available), no back packs.

Temperature Check:
Every staff member will take and record their temperature before League matches. Every player will have their temperature taken (with digital thermometer) before entering the building. If a player has a temperature above 100.4, they will not be allowed to enter the building.
If either the player/parent has a fever over 100.4; feels sick or is displaying symptoms; has been exposed to anyone diagnosed with COVID19; or has underlying health conditions that could put you at greater risk, please do not attend.

Hand Sanitizer:
Bottles of hand sanitizer will be available and we will require all players/coaches use the sanitizer before, during (water breaks) and after each match.

Ball and General Cleaning:
Clorox wipes or ball-cleaning solution will be on each court.  Staff will make sure balls get wiped down before and after each match.  There will be balls designated for each team/match.  These will be sanitized and only used for one match.  AAO Staff and Ozark Juniors staff will also be completing additional sanitizing of common touch surfaces throughout the facility.

Friendly Distance:
No high fives, fist bumps or touching player to player or player to trainer. Maintain social distancing among all players and coaches in the gym of 6ft. minimum (12ft when possible).

Protective Gear/Actions:
The current guidelines set forth by the state of Arkansas REQUIRE a face covering when not actively exercising.  All staff and spectators must wear a mask the entire time they are present in the building (referees may not wear a mask during officiating).  Players do not have to wear a mask when they are on the court playing but are required to wear a mask when on the sideline/bench.

Please use common protective practices: cover your mouth if you cough; sneeze into your elbow or your armpit, wash your hands, etc.

An Alternative to Club Volleyball

The Ozark Juniors Youth Volleyball League is designed for the athletes who love to play volleyball and may not have the time, resources or ability to commit to the volleyball club season. The league is open to individuals, teams and/or groups that want to put together a team. All teams must have a minimum of 7 and a maximum of 8 players. You may also sign up as an individual. Club players, from any club, welcome to play.
